The coffee bombon is a mixture of coffee (usually an expresso) sweetened with condensed milk and water, usually served in a transparent glass cup in order to show the layers of coffee and milk. The different density of the liquids causes that the coffee is in the superior part, whereas the condensed milk goes to the inferior part. It is a drink originally from Alicante, Spain, which over time has spread throughout the Iberian Peninsula. AND
In certain areas, coffee with condensed milk receives other names, such as sweet coffee or baby bottle. In the area of Murcia there is the chocolate and the stained, the latter with less condensed milk than the chocolate.
