The Valencian Barraca is a typical dwelling of farmers.
It has a rectangular plan, about nine by five meters, with triangular cover with a marked angle to drain the rains, with an easel perpendicular to the entrance that is located on one of the smaller sides.
The layout is always similar: a door in the south façade that gives access to a wide corridor that runs throughout the building to the north facade, where another door that allows air circulation is enabled. This corridor is used as a kitchen, dining room and storage room.
The upper floor is accessed by a ladder and was formerly used for silkworm breeding.
For its construction, easily accessible materials are used in the area such as mud, reeds, reeds or reeds. Therefore, the walls are built with adobe bricks and the roof is made with straw and cane.
